The person who has help me the most is my counselor Sue. I met her a little after my mother died. I knew I needed help with my grief and loss. She pretty much saved my life. She helped me through the whole grieving process of loosing my mother and also helped me with other tough life situations that crossed my path in the 8 years of seeing her.
She is the most wonderful person I have ever met. I have seen numerous counselors in the past (throughout my childhood) for many different things so I was very hesitant at first. I quickly discovered it was so easy talking to her and she never crossed any boundaries that made me feel uncomfortable. Before I knew it, I had been seeing her for about 8 years straight and was devastated to end my counseling sessions. I was moving back home and she was moving out of state as well. It was very hard to let go, but if there is one thing she has taught me is that Change is okay and it can be good. She taught me how to deal with change. I finally realized I was ready to battle my life solo. I know she will always be there for me if I need her.
This picture is a engraved plaque attached to a clock that she gave my for my college graduation. It makes me smile every time I looked at it.
